Erica first started practising yoga on her own when she was 15 as a way to stay active. When she moved to the Niagara region for college, she discovered Moksha yoga and fell in love with the yoga community and the sensation of practising in the hot room. She soon discovered that yoga was the perfect outlet to help her deal with the stresses of every day life, and she began to find herself at the yoga studio more often, and eventually searching for just about anywhere she could roll out her mat…whether it be at the park, her backyard or at the beach. As a means of continuing her education in holistic health and to broaden her knowledge of the asanas, she enrolled in her first 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training course at Casa Aromansse in Nicaragua and spent the summer of 2015 learning Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Kriya Yoga one-on-one with Serge Salvador. Serge’s humble teaching approach and passion for yoga opened her eyes to living yoga every day, not just physically but also mentally. Studying yoga for 13 hours daily gave Erica a new-found love for sharing her knowledge with others, and when she returned home to Canada she was eager to find a shala where she could call home. She joined the team at Power Yoga Centre St. Catharines and loved their yoga community, her team members, and good karma. Erica believes in treating others the way that you want to be treated, and opts to dance from point A to point B instead of walking. She’s always smiling or laughing, barefoot, encouraging others to stay positive, and can usually be found inverted.
On a continuing journey of self-discovery, Erica recently moved halfway across the globe and now resides in Australia teaching private yoga practices.
Specializing in Yoga for beginners, Erica enjoys working one-on-one with people of all ages to introduce them to the wonderful world of self love and movement.
