Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. 

Think of your body as if it were a luxury car: the car won’t run without any fuel, and it requires routine maintenance to keep it in tip-top shape. Fancy cars require the best fuel, so your breakfast should offer the best nutrients to keep your engine running smoothly throughout the day.  

Aim for complex carbohydrates and protein first thing in the morning to give you the energy you need and to keep you full until your next meal.

Be sure to stay hydrated, and imagine water as the oil for your car. I like to drink half a litre (500mL or 16 oz.) of lemon water as soon as I finish my morning routine.
